Add some Christmas magic to your front door by creating you very own wreath. In this workshop we use fresh moss and fir bases and layer in a selection of fresh and dried foliage, such as ivy, holly and eucalyptus, to create a beautiful decorative piece. A selection of ribbons and decorations will be available to give your wreath that extra festive sparkle.

Sip and paint as you decorate a pre-made cast botanical tile. Botanical castings involve making a clay imprint using fresh plant material and then capturing the composition using plaster of Paris to create a relief tile. Here the hard work has been done in advance as we will provide a selection of tile designs for you to choose from. All you need to do is turn up and enjoy decorating the tile of your choice with watercolours. All materials provided.

connection through nature
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Julia Crawford
Garden designer and published author
Hello, I’m Julia.
I love the natural world and being creative. Botanic Makers is about bringing those two things together and providing a space for people to explore the connections between the two. I hope that through the workshops and classes, you are able to find some time to focus, explore nature and connect with others. The experiences I offer are designed to reflect the seasons and what’s occurring in the natural world around us at that time of year. Some courses are more gardening based, whereas others are more on the crafting side. Hopefully there is something for everyone.
