Terms & Conditions
1.0 Bookings:
All bookings must be paid in advance. If you wish to join a class less than 24 hours in advance, please contact us first by sending an email to botanicmakers@gmail.co.uk and we will do our best to fit you in subject to availability. Your place on the course cannot be guaranteed until full payment is received.
2.0 Payments:
Please note: We do not store or share any debit or credit card details or personal info with any 3rd party vendors.
We prefer you to make a booking using our online booking system which takes card payments. In the event that you are unable to use this system, please get in touch via email and we will ask you to make a bank transfer instead. Please note that all bookings will be pending until funds have cleared and that it could take up to 2-3 working days for this to happen.
3.0 Refund Policy
3.1 Changes or cancellations by you:
3.1a Group lessons
If you find yourself unable to attend your class and you inform us more than 7 days in advance, we can offer a refund minus 20% of your course fee for administration. Alternatively, you can keep the payment as a credit to book against any other Botanic Makers class/course or you can transfer to a future workshop free of charge. If cancellation is made within 7 days of your workshop, we are unable to offer a refund. However, you can always send a friend to take your place (just let us know of the name change) or use the payment as credit for a future course.
3.1b Corporate Packages and One-off Events
All private events can be rescheduled to another date, if need be. If any additional charges are incurred due to this change, such as cost of venue hire for example, the client will be liable for these additional costs. If cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to your class taking place, we can offer a refund minus 20% of your course fee for administration. If cancellation is made within 7 days of your workshop, we are unable to offer a refund.
3.1c Non-attendance
Non-attendance of classes due to illness or for personal or professional reasons does not provide the right to refunds, extra tuition or a transfer. However, in such an event we will consider all the circumstances and take such action that we consider to be fair and reasonable.
Due to the special nature of our workshops and the very limited enrolment, we would advise you to check your diary carefully before you signing up for a class.
3.1d Running late
If you are running late for your lesson, you must inform us by phone before your lesson is due to begin. As with the nature of a group classes, late arrivals will impact the progress of the rest in the class, so please aim to be on time.
3.2 Minimum class numbers
We require a minimum of 5 students to be booked for any class in order to proceed with this class/workshop. We may choose to run a class with less than 5 bookings, but we reserve the right to reschedule undersubscribed classes.
3.3 Cancellations by us
In the unlikely event when a class/workshop must be cancelled or postponed due to unavoidable circumstances or if a class is undersubscribed, we will give you a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. You will be offered an alternative date or credit for the same amount of money or refunds your payment. We will not be liable for any other costs, wasted travel or expenses that you may incur.
3.4 Class postponement
If a class is postponed for reasons which we are responsible, including tutor illness or venue closure due to other reasons out of our control, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the class.
4.0 Requirements for participating in our classes, courses & workshops
4.1 Student conduct
Botanic Makers requires students to conduct themselves in a reasonable and proper manner at all times. Substantial obstruction of, or substantial improper interference with, the functions, duties or activities of any student or member of staff will result in the student being asked to leave the class. We will not tolerate any violent, indecent, disorderly, threatening, intimidating or offensive behaviour or language towards staff or other students. Any such action will result in the student being asked to leave the class. and we reserve the right to cancel attendance of further classes in extreme cases.
4.2 Student health & safety
Students are asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear to practical classes and use sharp tools in a safe and careful manner. Students who fail to comply with health and safety rules will be unable to participate in practical classes. Please listen carefully to the guidance given in the workshop and follow the instructions given by the tutor. You may be asked to wear protective clothing, such as gloves and/or aprons, depending on the activity. We would strongly advise that you wear something comfortable and that you don’t mind getting a bit of soil or paint on. If you suffer from any kind of allergy, it is your responsibility to advise Botanic Makers in advance.
